3D Model for reconstruction of the painting 'Adele Bloch-Bauer' by Gustav Klimt (2009)
Participation in world festival 'Prague Quadrienal of Performance design and space' (2011)

The idea of the project was to choose a painting (with no limit of age and style) and make a scale reconstruction which to be finally photographed. The student was allowed to decide whether to intervene and make changes or to make an exact copy of the painting.
I chose Klimt's painting "Adele Bloch-Bauer" and decided the space to be of collage type. Klimt's approach to the representation of space and his playing with the viewer in that direction intrigued me very much. I represented the painting in my own way by putting the separate elements of the installation at different locations within the space. Thus I wanted to get the effect of flatness and collage when you stay at the front of it, and a three-dimensional look when you look at it from the sides.
I also liked the contrast between the two-dimensional space and the three-dimensional middle figure of the woman. This further reinforced me to do the whole environment from flat panels, no matter if they represent fabric or furniture, to preserve this contrast.
